Gluten Free Summer Fest

My belly is full of good food that promises to not make me sick after a trip to the Gluten Free Summer Fest.

To be able to get a good sampling of the food I highly recommend bringing a friend to share the dishes with. The food was delicious and it was nice to not have to worry about what I could order, it was a problem of “where should I start?” A good problem to have! There were not an overwhelming number of vendors.

Unfortunately, local representation was really lacking. The event appears to have been put on by a regional group that has vendors they book for events all over. Most vendors were out of Cleveland, Detroit or Ann Arbor. I saw event organizers looking for local vendors just a few weeks ago when most places already have commitments.

Even without the local vendors it was worth the dining experience. So, stop for lunch or dinner.

Cheddar and Gouda Pierogis. The Gouda was so good!
This vendor does meal prep for autoimmune diets. She was incredibly knowledgeable.
Chicken wrap and peanut butter pie. The pie was so peanut butter!
This was watermelon and several other fruits.
