While this library does not have any books it does have a large variety of Gluten Free goodies! I have seen post and followed Natalie’s Cake Library for months and finally made it in. The only thing I am sorry about is that it took me so long to make it there!
On my first and far from last trip I got the Oreo Blondie, soft pretzel, a snack cake to relive my childhood and my favorite of all of them, a cinnamon roll. (I got 2 and was nice enough to share with my sister). So here is my take on what I got. The Oreo Blondie was tasty and probably the first time I have had Blondie since I am almost always a chocolate person, flavor was good and she let me choose center, corner or edge (I am a middle all the way person).
The soft pretzel was frozen which made me nervous as we all know how frozen GF breads can go. I am happy to say my nerves were eased the moment I took it out of the microwave and ripped a piece off, it was the perfect amount of softness and just lightly salted. Made for a perfect Saturday afternoon snack.
As a kid I was always the one who wanted the cake snacks, but always got homemade baked goods instead (this was pre-GF life). I know I had it tough. Natalie’s cake snacks are everything I had wanted as a kid, plus the are handmade so none of that icky boxed crud!
Now to the star of my purchases, the cinnamon roll! I was told to microwave it a few seconds until the icing started to melt, which was difficult once I smelled it, but those extra few seconds were worth it. This tasted like those rolls you would bust open on a Saturday morning. I put just a little bit of butter on it to melt in. It was so ooey gooey in the center I forgot it was gluten free!
Natalie’s Cake Library has so many other options, limiting myself was for sure the hardest part. Aside from doing all Gluten Free baked goods she also offers dairy free and vegan options and everything is labeled. So do yourself a favor and check out this library!
Happy Snacking!
