Better Breakfast Breads

by | May 22, 2013 | Products

On Saturday, I ventured downtown to the Toledo Farmer’s Market

I picked up some great plants, fruits and veggies. But the best purchases were made at booth 5 at Amy’s Custom Chocolates.  I was not interested in chocolate, I was interested in the gluten-free breads she offers.  Saturday she had three types: Cranberry Bread, Apple Streusel Bread and Lemon Loaf.  I decided I needed all three.

None of them disappointed.  They are very moist.  If you are looking to make a sandwich, these are not the breads for you.  However, they make the perfect breakfast.  Better than a Danish or donut, these breads are great.  I believe my husband’s exact words when eating a piece of the apple streusel bread were, “damn, that’s good.”

My favorite was the lemon loaf.  A picture of which is noticeably absent from the pictures.  I ate it too quickly to capture a picture.

I believe the types of bread vary from week to week.  If sampling I picked up Saturday is representative of what the normal offerings are, you will not be disappointed.  Very tasty.

Wishing you great food and happy tummies,

K
